Greg Barringer I attended my first yoga class in 1992. At the time I was training with the US National Rowing Team and was drawn to yoga to improve my flexibility and learn relaxation techniques. I remember leaving the class in awe; how energized I felt, how everything seemed clearer and brighter. I have been a student of yoga ever since. I have studied with some wonderful teachers; Shiva Rae, Seane Corn, Saul David Raye, Baron Baptiste, Priti Robyn Ross, Jairaj Randal Williams, Yoganand Michael Carroll, Bramanand Don Stapleton, David Deida, Alan Lowen, Dan Markowitz. I have practiced several yoga styles: Hatha, Raja, Kriya, Bhakti, Vinyasana, Bikram, Jivamukti, Ashtanga, Anusara, Kundalini, and Tantric. I am also studying Buddhism, Sufism and Christianity. Through my experience and training I have come to know the inherent goodness in all. Yoga is much more than a wonderful way to become physically, mentally and emotionally healthy, it is a path to our self-realization. We are divine beings; many of us have forgotten this. Yoga reminds us of our divinity and gives us a path to realizing it. It is my purpose to share this path with others. Besides practicing and teaching yoga, I have coached hundreds of competitive athletes, taught a seminar at MIT called “Achieving Peak Performance”, been the Executive Director and President of a non-profit organization, built canoes and houses, consulted to business, and managed a gubernatorial campaign. I have climbed Mt. Katahdin and walked Knife’s Edge. I hold undergraduate and graduate degrees from Boston University. I am an ordained minister in the Universal Life Church. I received my yoga teacher training and certification from the Kripalu School of Yoga, one of the nation’s leading yoga institutions. My certification is registered with the Yoga Alliance. I truly look forward to sharing yoga with you. It is an amazing and sacred journey; one which opens us to life’s possibilities, its peacefulness and its ever-present, abundant love. Namaste, |

| “Greg is an amazing teacher and human being. He is skilled, patient and kind. I have taken many yoga classes, from Greg and others, over the past 25 years and Greg ranks up there with some of the best teachers I have ever had. His teaching incorporates a variety of yoga styles and breath-work, and his sense of humor helps you through the tough spots. I would unqualifiedly recommend Greg to anyone, and do so on a regular basis.” Giovanna Accinelli Fitness Director Equinox Fitness |
